… maneuver clumsily on the  unsteady rocks

for a second, even forget that she hates water

but only for a second, because she’s already

shaking and runhing out

and then, the struggle begins

until the last drop

finally, your Ridgeback – dry again – makes

a pledge: NEVER AGAIN!
